Malang Holy-time (part 2) : La Gorgeous Payung Teduh

    I finally get to see a live performance from Payung Teduh ! Reconcile and also amazing, maybe just two words that I can give to a concert on Monday (6/5) yesterday evening. The concert, titled Rhytme of Love held at the Dome Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), in addition to performing of Payung teduh also appearance of indie bands Malang others and also coincided with the launching of a local band album called Ice Cream. Here's a little note and a glance from me about this concert.
Me and the girlfriend (ciyeeh) arrived at the venue at 8 passing, late I think, given the open gate that had started at 3 pm. Came, we were immediately exchanged our pre-sale tickets with the original ticket and after that we had to pass through multiple layers of security guard (huft). Before entering into the dome, me and girlfriend took the photos first. Incidentally in front of the committee has provided a wall of fame for place photo (little bit narcism).
Entered, we both immediately treated by a row of indie bands Malang (I do not memorize the names of the band) who brought the hero of each song. My judgment, they (indie bands Malang) is very attractive, the instrument of the good games combined with cool sound effects. Yeaah, I think they're so cool and great. But of several bands that performed that can steal my attention was the band Undah-Undih. Ndagel style of standup comedy and musicality that catchy 80's rock I think is a successful combination made the audience (including me) were very entertained. Not to mention two girls songstress who geulis pisan euy (hahaha).
After performing from Undah Undih, I think the next band is Payung Teduh. Eits was wrong, next is the band performing Ice Cream. New Comer in the realm of indie music Malang, they were lined up as the owner of this event brought approximately 4 songs from their new album (which was launched all). I do not want to talk at length about this band (given my shallow knowledge about the indie band scene Malang and in particular the band itself). But I think this band is more suited as a duet for the vocalist with the other as a drover (ckck). Though the musicality arguably passable vocalist and sound (especially the girls) were fantastic. Oh yaa, still in my opinion, the band also looks a bit arrogant.
At 12 over, eventually Payung Teduh went up on stage. Before playing a row of  their hits. Is the vocal invites us all to sing the song "Bagimu Negeri". Solemn atmosphere and sing along sound echoed throughout the dome. Completed, Payung Teduh immediately play "Berdua Saja", "Kucari Kamu", "Sisa-sisa Keihklasan " & "Angin Pujaan Hujan". After the last song played minor incidents occurred, the committee cut the time in which the band performing. The result of hundreds of attendees and Payung Teduh own personnel also had to be disappointed. But, all immediately relieved by playing the song "Menuju Senja" and "Untuk Wanita Dalam pelukan". Sad but sweet, that's the ending of the Payung Teduh's concert that night. Hopefully tomorrow can meet and see the Payung Teduh concert again. Oh forgetfulness, me, my girlfriend and my friend had the opportunity to photograph together with personnel of Payung Teduh (Is, vocalist & Comi, bass). That's a special moment with them, it turns out they are friendly and humble.

Malang Holy-time (part 1) : FABULEUX BATU SECRET ZOO

    Yeay, finally I can get back vacation. although for the holidays not far away, I was going to Malang. Have not counted how many times I visit this city, especially visiting the sights. But this special time, because I was with my friends working in ALMAHA. And this little story about the trip yesterday.
    As usual Batu town offering coolness and natural beauty with a backdrop of mountains and hills. Not to mention the atmosphere harmony of rural and agricultural, that made me enchanted. Our vacation destination this time is to visit Batu Secret Zoo. Honestly, this is the first time I went here. So I was very enthusiastic and enjoy. Batu Secret Zoo offers a concept of modern zoo that combined with a variety of rides and wildlife museum inside as well. Exciting, because I get to see and learn about the animals of course. And surrounds this place also takes a long time, because the place is huge!!
   Trip around Batu Secret Zoo is completed at four o'clock. Tired, Happy and satisfied that I have feel. And before ending concludes with pictures with ALMAHA friends in front of the Museum Satwa. But I have not finished holiday, because the next day I was there the other exciting trips in this cold city.

Belajar Untuk Siapa ?

    Belajar, mungkin tidak ada yang salah dengan kata ini, aktivitas ini. Semuanya butuh belajar, semua orang pasti ingin belajar. Dengan belajar kita yang awalnya tidak bias, tidak mampu dan tidak tahu apa-apa menjadi bisa dan bahkan menjadi expert. Intinya belajar adalah aktivitas yang bermanfaat dan adilhung bagi kita para manusia.

   Tetapi apakah kita pernah menyadari ada yang salah dengan aktivitas belajar kita, terutama (mungkin) pada saat di sekolah, perkuliahan atau di manapun itu. Ketika kita sedang belajar tentang ilmu atau suatu hal yang sangat-sangat tidak kita sukai. Yeaah, I think that just wasted my time and fuckin boring time. Kita mungkin akan mengantuk, melamun atau bahkan mengacuhkan materi yang sedang diberikan oleh para Guru atau pendidik. Kenapa bisa demikian ? Kalau menurut saya pribadi ini disebabkan karena tidak adanya dorongan (feel) untuk bisa interest atau bahkan respect terhadap ilmu tersebut. Alasan kedua mungkin kita tidak terlalu membutuhkan ilmu tersebut (ckck). Ketiga (ini alasan yang lebih klise), kita tidak ahli atau bisa dibilang payah untuk ilmu atau pengetahuan ini. What else ? Entahlah bagaimana perspective dari teman-teman.

    But whatever that, seyogyanya kita belajar atas nama kesadaran. Kesadaran karena kita membutuhkan ilmu tersebut untuk mencari kerja dan mengejar kekayaan yang semu. Atau kita merasa harus memiliki ilmu atas nama kemanusiaan (memberi manfaat untuk kehidupan bersama) dan pertanggung jawaban nanti dihadapan Allah. Jadi anda belajar untuk siapa ?

Saturday Swing With Mocca

    Yeaay, finally I can see Mocca’s concert again last saturday !! mungkin ini adalah hal yang sangat langkah, mengingat band ini lebih banyak vacum untuk saat ini. Konser bertajuk Saturday Swing yang bertempat di Colors Pub and Resto Surabaya. Hmm, suatu tempat yang ga’ lumrah sebenernya untuk melihat konser band indie, karena kesannya esklusif. Tapi it’s okay, mengingat tiket yang saya beli lumayan murah (cukup 35 ribu saudara-saudara).

   Saya dan pacar (ciyeeh) sampai di venue pukul 18.00 kurang dikit, lebih awal sebenarnya karena menurut kabar burung yang ditangkap open gate memang jam segitu. Maklumlah, kita hidup di Indonesia yang menjunjung tinggi budaya Rubber Duck (uupss). Sambil menunggu open gate dan tiket (ceritanya kami berdua nitip beli dari temen-temen SF Malang) kami berdua sempetin dulu utuk foto-foto di depan baliho segede gaban yang ada fotonya Mocca. Semakin malam merayap tampak penonton dan penikmat music Mocca seantero Surabaya dan sekitarnya berdatangan. Dan setelah temen-temen SF datang dan tiket didapat akhirnya kami berdua masuk. Mocca here we come !

    Colors Café, mungkin tidak banyak yang berubah dari terakhir kalinya saya kesini. Bangunan colonial Belanda dan suasana café yang emang cozy dan sedikit remang tentunya. Masuk kami dilema dengan menu yang ditawarkan, sebotol kecil soft drink kita harus mengeluarkan extra cash sebesar 25 Ribu (mahal, padahal embel-embelnya special price). Lumayan lama kami menunggu mocca naik gigs, penonton mulai berjubel dan suasana semakin menghangat. Tapi tepat pukul 19.30 WIC (Waktu Indonesia Colors) akhirnya Mocca keluar juga. Sempat speaking sebentar, merka langsung menghajar kita (para penonton yang sudah bersabar menunggu saat ini) dengan lagu-lagu hits mereka seperti I love you anyway, Butterfly in my tummy, I would never, I remember, Friends dan lain-lain. Sekitar 15 lagu mereka bawakan dengan lagu terakhir it’s over now menutup malam minggu swing. Eits, but that’s not realy over. Ternyata mereka balik lagi. Ada dua extra songs yang Mocca berikan untuk kita para SF yang hadir malam itu, Secret admirer dan Swing it Bob benar-benar menutup konser malam itu.

   Puas, senang, terharu, capek dan tongpes (kantong kempes) adalah kata-kata yang mewakili konser Mocca kemarin. Puas dan senang karena akhirnya dapat melihat meraka manggung lagi. Terharu karena mereka bakal vakum lagi, entah untuk berapa lama lagi. Capek dan tongpes adalah efek lain (hahaha). But that’s beautiful Saturday night ever, melihat mocca yang langkah dan ditemani pacar yang memang sudah tidak banyak malam minggu yang kita lewati bareng. Thanks God.
